Cooking

Penne Con Ragu (Penne with Meat Sauce)

It has been almost a year since i last cooked (Getting a bit rusty). Cooking is one of my fav. hobbies since i started when i was 12. Today i cooked my fav. - Pasta. Fell in love with pasta when i was in poly, esp those with tomato base cos its so simple to cook yet delicious.

I am an easily satisfied person, just contented with a simple yet happy life just like pasta. But it seems during the past few weeks and things tat are going to happen in the next few weeks will be making my life complicated and miserable. Well if tats my destiny i will have to face it bravely. For i control my own destiny.

Enough said for the recipe pls refer below:

Serves 4

1 diced onion, 1 clove of chopped garlic, 500g of minced meat (can be pork or veal), 3 tins of plum tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper, ketchup, mixes herbs of rosemary & dried oregano, bag of penne

1. Lighly colour the onion and garlic in olive oil for abt 10 mins medium heat.

2. Pour in the tomatoes, minced meat, herbs and add ketchup, dash of salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar to taste. Simmer in low heat abt 30 mins.

3. Cook the penne in salted hot water till al dente.

4. Pour in the cooked penne into the meat sauce and stir well.

5. Serve with some olive oil, herbs and grated parmesan cheese. (Easily done)
